War...

Watching people in shelters just so grateful for a bowl of soup or pasta as they sleep on a cot glad they are not being killed by Russia right now really puts things in perspective..

Seeing how Ukrainians are fighting back, some not even soldiers, is really inspiring....

I am trying NOT to get defeated. To still find positive happiness in just doing my outdoor nature thing once a week ( free). Find my splurge and indulgence in a musubi w/the Sunday paper every other week a comfort that I can't get on the mainland. Going outside and not freezing. Never again will I have to wonder can I make it to my destination w/o getting frostbite or hypothermia.....finding peace in knowing I have an apt, I have food, I have entertainment of tv, phone/Net and Pandora, my place is NOT attack or threat of attack & that will have to be enough for other ppl in my life ( cuz it's good enough for me)..

I turned away from the $9.29 for Blue Bunny quart at KTA and instead got the Great Value peanut butter cup quart for $2.34, a juice ( $1.74 a month ago, $2.34 NOW), a half gallon of milk for $2.93 and hairties for a total of $11.30! I love that I have 20 saimins right now, 2 cans of Spam, 3 cans of GV Spam, 6 cans of soup, few cans of greenbeans, 3 chili beans cans ( trying the S&W ones tomorrow), few cans of pears, egg noodles left over ( trying garlic butter Buillon next), 6 burgers left from Costco in Oct., fish fillets, soybean packets, 3 boxes of cheap tasty 5 cheese garlic cheesy toasts, a jar of pizza sauce, 3 boxes of mac n cheese, 3 packs of hotdogs, 3 canned chilis, couple cans of pinto beans and tuna, sandwich bread, PBnJ, shredded cheese, sandwich bread/cheese, tortillas, rice, etc....have to be grateful just for food, am uninjured, I workout at the gym, do free yoga and have a safe place to rest:)...

Why I really like that Martin Misadventures YT channel. They don't even bring up their political views or if they're anti Govt, they just talk about the importance of being prepared for an Emergency ( yeah, they have some Long Term Survival Food products (bought 4-6 yrs ago, way TOO high now) but most of their food in their kits are instant mashed potatoes, jerky, tuna, mac n cheese, etc) & I love that they live in an RV on property they now own (I think)... I think I will ask my sister about where should I go to fill up my water jugs ( she said there's a place that lets you do it for free ( I know of a place but they want $.50-$1/gallon...)..

Just keep plugging along, looking for jobs posted a few hours/day and maybe freakin call Altres (see what to do since offices still aren't open and no email address is up on their site). I am hoping my NOT hearing back from the Insurance lady over my detailing that I DID have LOST WORK due to my injury (letter said otherwise, I corrected that in a VM to her) is a good sign as it now entering week 2....

Doing my taxes later today. Stopped the other day cuz TurboTax was telling me my 'situation' wasn't covered for the FREE filing..like hello, how many ppl moved from 1 state to another in the same year during these last 3 years? I will put NO again to Unemployment and maybe that will help ( the IRS gets the 1099 sent to them by Unemployment)..sure hope I get more than the $317 projected refund....I only worked for ONE freakin month last year!

working out, survival food, taxes, food challenge, work problems, security, refund, survival food kit, war
