Hmmm,........

Well the last few weeks have had some ups and downs...from 1 babysitting night of oh, I want them to have dinner vs them having cereal if they don't want dinner...to the next week, oh, let them have cereal for dinner cuz we need to go shopping?

One ' really bad day' of playing with toys I wasn't supposed to let them have?! I almost got pissed when my sister brought up oh what if they want to ride bikes in the road? I countered with hey, maybe a 4 year old shouldn't have Collector's Items shit, I don't yell at the kids ( I was making comments of oh, your parents probably have to be here, we shouldn't be opening this, niece has said to me before of Mommy will get mad, Mommy will yell, dk why that didn't translate to opening toys we weren't supposed to ( despite my sister telling me they know what they can do vs what they can't), doesn't she know LYING is WRONG, or that she was WRONG to say yeah we can play w/it, Mommy said we could) and Idk if you rotate toys, open new ones every other month, etc... couldn't ask my sister since she was having an interview at a prison and bro in law has to lock up his phone for work. I know DANGER shit, ok but what toys you can play with vs toys you can't, wtf? I never had Collector's Items shit growing up..

One $40 day get told an hour before pick up ( & after I just bought musubis 2 hrs prior), that day is $20 less due to turning into a Short Day....then this past Monday, as I am eating my musubis prepping for 2 Long Days in a row ($80) & 1 Short: 2 hrs before pick up: bro in law just tested positive for Covid so I get the whole week off...his other coworker just came BACK from having it, so either he still has it ( dumbass CDC rules of 5 day quarantine might not be enough) or someone who is positive ( but asymptomatic= still work) gave it to him..

I am secretly enjoying this break hehe! Doing 2 gym days ( a yoga and MAYBE a Gozo Strength workout), had some WICKED THUNDER last night! Had a splurge of 2 fast food coupon deals this week (w/cash of $20, other $20 is saved and other $20 is for 2 wks of musubis AFTER Spring Break ( next week, also not getting paid)...might do another OUTDOOR ADVENTURE day this week or next, like I did last week.. it's enough for me to just walk outside, see palm trees or chameleons and geckos and eat cheap ( but still great local grindz)...til I am secured w/employment..or at least tax refund cushion ( doing that this week btw)..

Went to KTA and SackNSave looking for veggie bags...KTA literally had 0 ( all pizza, fries, frozen dinners, frozen shrimp, breaded shrimps, fish fillets, yeah, some Asian meals had veggies but no Steamers bags/Pict Sweet/Birds Eye in sight) and while SackNSave had veggies, they didn't have the variety ( sauced veggies, cheesy veggies w/rice, etc) I like, so Safeway/Target a mile closer it is...

2 weeks ago, I stocked up saimins ( sis and I connected on our love of saimin still, she likes just chicken and shrimp, HATES beef, whereas I like all 3 but love shrimp) as I saw that the cases of saimin were low and I got a bunch of Gorton's fish fillets ( bag of 26 fillets for $15 vs Gorton's 10 in a box for $8 or Van de Kamps 8 in a box for $11.30??) & scored Great Value's seasoned fries for just $.14 more than what I paid on the mainland☺️....also that day, got a bunch of free food from my landlady through her Food Drive at her job!!...
I wasn't expecting all the stuff I got: a loaf of sweet bread ( only thing past the expiration date ( 10 days), I tried it( it was soft and fresh tasting still), had it for 4 days, had to cut off the previous days piece, kinda like cheese), a box of Chicken in a Biskit, box of Hint of Salt Wheat Thins, a thing of Chips Ahoy Chewy cookies, a big bag of egg noodles ( tried the Good & Gather Roasted garlic sauce and it was really good! Still got 80% left of the bag), and 4 cans of ground pork ( saving it, might make some pork tacos, or use pork vs hamburger for my Hamburger Helper, etc or use it for bartering hehe ( along w/2 cans of peaches), never know) ..landlady said she will do it again this month!

I won a Batman contest by Little Caesars! Got their Hot N Ready Classic Pepperoni for ONE cent ( saved $8!) so of course ordered the Cheesy Bread ( vs their Cheese stuffed breadsticks) for a total of $6.28 last weekend!

It will be really interesting to see how this Russia oil/natural gas ban will affect things here...yeah, we as a Nation only import less than 10% of oil/gas from them, but here in Hawaii, that's 1/3 of the oil we use in gas stations....I was wondering if the ban impacts city services ( buses, trash pick up) or are they independant? Man, if ever was a time to get into biking/walking to places/work now..

babysitting, working out, yoga, work issues, free goodies, covid, work problems, work stuff food, fam issues, contests, food changes
