Hawaii Blizzard!
Well we are Day 1 into the #HawaiiBlizzard2021...my apt has so far has done well w/the exception of pooling water by the laundry area ( roof piece still missing) and once getting water that pooled from the driveway/grass area right next to my stairs leading down to my place..taking the trash out and getting wet slippers/pants due to a few inches of water being pooled in the grass & luckily the garbage men were able to drive through all the water to get my can. High today in Rockford was 21, so yeah, IL winter sucks over Hawaii!
Lots of power outages tho(20K) and hope my Aunt and Nana are ok..
Made my Legacy Food Storage pasta alfredo...I think I should have used 2 cups less of water cuz yeah, sauce was runny...sauce tasted ok ( smell was better) but added some Lawry's to it to help and maybe the 3 other bowls of leftovers will taste better.
Did pretty well last week re:workouts: got in 2 at the gym, 2 yogas and 1 NTC workout ( but did a Bob/Brad shoulder PT stuff )...hoping for 3 gym days this week ( 1st is tomorrow, we have been getting rain off/on and more for tomorrow, might have to cancel), 2 yogas & 2 NTC....
Had a great lunch downtown Friday of island style fried fish & chips! Might get their combo platter next time...also browsed 1 of 2 local bookstores but couldn't find the Forschten book series or any calendars that suited my interests.
Applied to Walmart, Surf/Skate shop and 1 more place as of late..
NCIS Hawaii should be great as they are talking to real life Pearl Harbor survivors and yes, tomorrow will be my 1st time being back in Hawaii for Pearl Harbor Day so looking forward to local specials:)...
