Yeah so I realized 2 days this week ( Tues n Friday AM), I spent quite a bit of time either creating scenarios and having responses ready in case S says this or that or how can I get treated this way the next time she goes off ( n nobody stops it) after I have been here for almost 7 yrs ( 6 months shy now) and that's stressful, you know? IDK if my work sees that as being disruptive...Sat we were supposed to get ice and snow by the morning. We didn't but we did start getting ice as I started riding into work. I did ok then but on my way home a few hrs later, didn't know that even OUR parking lot/sidewalks hadn't been treated yet ( ice accumulated more or at least more black ice). I did bike from the employee entrance to our crosswalk/ sidewalk and my bike slipped underneath me as I was trying to turn to go uphill..
It was front of a coworker which made it embarrassing ( they act like a fat tire can handle ANYTHING bc of big tires, they're not studded dude) but I got up and started inching my way to the street. My walk home (1.4 miles in case any newbies are reading) should have qualified as a workout! Half the time I was in the street or the grass and even crossing 1-2 sidewalks slabs to get to the grass had me praying hehe..got snow later last night...
I came home, my knee was stiff still but I knew it wasn't broken nor had anything been torn. I was actually surprised that I didn't have bruises on my the right side of my body which is what hit the ground, not even tenderness. I did have a little hip/rib issues (along w/ the knee), but did some stretches, Namaste Yoga Align Your Axis ( didn't like it, it didn't have me feeling calm n refreshed like Sun Moon Sequence did Thursday), and I even did NTC's Open Rotation 15 min workout/yoga stretches combo coincidence AND Day 11 of my 28 day Transform at Home workout, and today, I feel fine still. On the news, it was reported that someone broke their leg due to slipping on the ice in our hospital parking lot ( n you know they put salt down!) and a heavy loaded down salt truck FLIPPED OVER in WI...
Playoff Games yesterday were ok, I really liked watching Zoey's Playlist and Emergence as I rested hehe and today w/ the games not coming on til 2, should have no prob of meeting my remaining fitness goals this week of DAY 12, reading more of Choose More Lose More, my BootCamp abs workout before finishing it w/ a lil Sun Moon yoga, baby!
Chatted w/ykw yesterday n the day before for a bit about her fitness goals/healthy eating attempts. I like my TAH FB GROUP. I have had fast food only 2x ( 1 was just a chicken sandwich, no fry or drink), shredded chicken tacos 2x and tomato soup/ cracker dinner last night. I hope I make a good choice in making my red beans and rice recipe ( not Louisiana spicy style; just a can of small red beans w/ added spices and cooking it in broth) for dinner tonight.
As of Day 10, I lost 5 lbs I think based off of my work's freight scale:)! My Mom's new diet is working well, she has quit on making dried beans ( way too much work/ time consuming when a can of refried is less than a buck at times, plus, taste was off n crunchy texture too) although she had started eating eggs again...dk if she's still doing her water intake fully or not, if she needs to cut back on coffee or try IF like I have been doing for a year...
