"Red. Red. Red." Parvati flew around her work room, swatches of cloth in her hand. "I know you're here somewhere!" Throwing the pieces of fabric over her shoulder, she buried her arms up to the elbows in a trunk of cloth.
"Padma! Have you seen the crimson piece Mrs. Cornerstone- AHA!" Shouting a bit in triumph, Parvati held the offending piece of fabric in the air. "You tried to run, but you will be used to make a dress that will guarantee my shop."
"Vati, are you talking to yourself again," Padma called from the living room.
"No!" Parvati grinned as she crossed to her work station and set the fabric down. Abigail Cornerstone knew a lot of witches who went to private designers for their clothes. If she did a good job on this gown, there was a very good chance that her shop would happen sooner rather than later.
"Liar," Padma said, leaning on the doorframe as she watched her sister work. "You talk more to yourself than you do to me."
"You are me, sisterdear, so talking to myself is talking to you." She looked over at Padma with a cheeky grin, her twin sticking her tongue out in response.
"Is this the color you'll be using?"
"She wanted something to make men stand still when they see her, and this color will achieve just that." Parvati frowned, picking up the piece of cloth and frowning at it. "Or, it will when I'm done with it. It needs some work." Grabbing her wand, she looked over at Padma and rose an eyebrow. "You look tired, love. When was your last night off?"
"Two weeks ago."
Parvati clicked her tongue and wove her wand in the air, summoning a mannequin and charming it to Mrs. Cornerstone's measurements. "That's far too long."
"It's been busy lately. Lots of criminals." Padma pushed off the wall and came closer into the room. "Speaking of, James' case was taken by one of my co-workers."
Groaning, Parvati let her wand arm drop to her side and turned to grin at her sister. "He's in again?"
"How do you find them, Vati?"
"Just lucky I guess." Parvati pinched Padma's side as her sister made her way to the door. "Don't work too hard!" Padma waved a hand as she vanished from sight. "And if you see someone bend over to tie their shoe, don't walk up behind them! You'll regret it!" She heard the disgusted noise from her sister and laughed to herself before raising her wand. "Alright, Mrs. Cornerstone. One men-stopping dress, coming up."
