You Had Me at Food.
31 more days until I'm on a jet plane headed back to GA.
I'm SO ready.
I'm ready to get back to MY life and just enjoy what's ahead of me.
Or, at least, get me back to where I have the freedom to live like I wanna.
So in the next few days I'm hoping to get my eyes checked out and get some new glasses. I kinda need them, without any, I can't see the TV that well, and driving is a nightmare.
Eye update: All's healed well, and the redness is gone. My eyes actually look a bit lighter now than they did before, so I guess that's a good thing. Outside of that, no headaches -- except for the heat-related ones -- and no complications. I had my last appointment last week, so I'm clear until 6 months from now when I go and get another check-up. Yay!
I've been on this Adam Lambert kick. We know he's talented, yes. but I had NO IDEA how much I'd like his music. Every single that's been out, I've loved. So I think I'm a fan.
Yesterday I made the mistake of leaving my house when, seemingly the entire population of Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco got on the roads to travel for the July 4th Weekend. I went down to Berkeley for lunch, and then my grandma's house. Traffic was horrific. I almost got hit TWICE by moron drivers, and I got flipped off for doing nothing wrong. Yay. Some people just #cantbetamed.
In other news.... well, there is no other news. My life is boring. I miss my friends in GA, so there's that. I texted most of the ones I talk to often this morning, so it was nice to hear from some of them. Now though, I wanna SEE them more than ever. I'm not looking forward to being back in the heat and the random afternoon thunderstorms -- I haven't seen a drop of RAIN since May, so it'll be a weird sensation -- and, mostly, I just miss my apartment, my car, and my sense of freedom.... not that I don't have it here, but it's different there.
Financial Aid went through. I'm set for the Year.
I'm gonna look for an on-campus job.
I hope to take on a bit more responsibility.
Within the next year, if I can get said job, I want to get a new laptop for myself, completely designed myself, picked out, and built for me. Buy it, and use it. Hopefully with a good job, I can accomplish this.
Hopefully this will be the year a boyfriend pops out of the surface. But we shall see. : )
Alright, I'm off. Gym later today, around 12-ish, then NASCAR once I get back. Parents are going to the ballpark today -- I'm NOT -- so I'll have the house to myself. Hopefully food too. Thinking Chinese again though, I LOVED that place Margie went to yesterday. Their chow mein reminds me of Japanese lo mein, which is ALWAYS a good thing. I'm a sucker for Japanese food. Hmm, might add that to my Facebook profile. : )
