someone stole my purse out of my car today. this is what they got.
total estimated value: $15 purse + $3 cash + misc. crap = less than $20
even after sifting through all my stuff, this is what they left behind.
poorly drawn, yet still expensive mp3 player.
i feel really violated, and stupid. humiliated and freaked out because i'm going to have to repeat my class. my brother went over to the park and looked in all the bushes and trash cans for me, but they didn't dump it anywhere close. he also threatened to beat the shit out of the rat faced little kid next door who i'm sure knows who took it (he actually told me that "i didn't do it, but it was probably one of my friends.")
has this ever happened to anybody else? i've never had anything stolen from me like this. i had to call my mom and have her walk me through the whole process, how to cancel credit cards, how to get a new license, how to get a new social security card. i had to call transunion and have 90 day fraud alerts placed on my credit files with all the major companies in the country, which also means its going to be hard to get new cards in the future. i have basically no ID, and i'm in school or at work whenever the bank is open. i had to borrow money from my dad just to buy gas today, and i think i'll be running up a hell of a tab at work eating pastries for dinner. i dont even know when i'll have a chance to go to the DMV, i work every day. i hate everything.
