So I got into my first car accident ever the other day.
Totally my fault, way to go me.
So, I find myself taking a new route home from Bill's, one I was assured would be faster, so I wouldn't have to go through any busy towns, or near railroad tracks. Sweet, on time to school. Think again.
I end up getting caught in construction, and traffic is stop and go. I'm pretty sure my seat had fallen back and essentially, as I'm inching forward, I go to hit the brake and my foot slips and hits the gas...hard. I hit the guy ahead of me, and he was about ready to kill me, I think.
Anyways, long story short, he was mad and demanded I call the police so we could report it. As I'm waiting, I call Bill, bawling my eyes out because I'm scared and upset. The sheriff eventually gets there, sees me, and is very comforting to me, which was wonderful. He wasn't so comforting to the other guy. See, there was no damage to his car. Two little marks where my paint rubbed off, that's it. And the only damage to my car was that my license plate got a little dented and the little lights below the plate that serve little purpose got smashed.
So, I didn't get ticketed and he said he doubted a claim could be filed since NY State law is that you can't file a claim for any damage uner $1,000.
Needless to say, I got off easy and no one got hurt. Phew.

On a completely different note, I recently discovered Snapple White Tea. I must say, it is delicious and I recommend it to anyone who can find it. The nectarine flavor is the best. Crisp, clean and delicious.
I think that's someone else's slogan.
