so, the other day (yesterday), was a real trip down memory lane...for reals. the day started out a bit odd. i took jack (the youngest McAllister kid) to football (soccer) practice. that meant i woke up at 8:30 on a sat morning! yikes! (the night before i chilled at TIME until around 7.30ish, and caught
TROY with Yasmin. I think that basically Brad Pitt is the most beautiful man on the planet..with a couple exceptions of course.) either way, i got home late, got in bed late, and woke up early. bleh!
after the football game, i showered, and left for lunch to Nando's! It's this really great South African chicken place...seriously spicey chicken i must say..and totally a fun place. Kathryn grabbed lunch with me, which was great b/c we both hung out quite a bit when i was here last year, and it felt like old times. oh, we tried the Starbucks Mango frapp...NAST! don't bother! anyway....
after lunch and some chill time walking around downtown chiswick, i took a bus to get to my old neighborhood...KINGS ROAD... Wow, it was totally crazy to be back. A lot has changed since August, believe it or not: new shops, old shops gone, new buses along the old route, etc. on my way there some older man on the bus asked me how much my camera cost and if i am a tourist. heehee... i was polite about it, but he laughed at me when i said it was a gift so i wasnt sure the cost and yes, i guess i was a tourist. anyway, i took a bunch of photos along the road. it was cool to be back. i stood in front of the famous
IES Student Residence Hall for a few minutes...i cant believe i lived there a year ago. i dunno it was weird. anyway, i walked down the old stretch to Sloane Square, and after a diet coke from McDonald's, i hopped on a double-decker 11 bus, the one i always rode to work. i wont go into more detail b/c this post is getting really long, but it was great to see all the sights again, take pictures, see people, hear familiar sounds, etc. i miss london so much.
i had a really relaxing evening. Kathryn and i chilled again. we had dinner at an italian place back in Chiswick, and then grabbed snacks for a movie night at home. a lot of fun, which ended with reading books until with couldnt keep our eyes open anymore! =)
so that's about it. below is this weird hugs thing i found on a random guys website. looked cool, but i have no clue how it works really...anyway, whatev. give me hugs....? heehee! love to all! back in the States tomorrow afternoon.
