Emptying the trash bin in my brain
There's a lot of little things going in my life that I keep wanting to mention, but none of these things could ever fill a whole post. Or maybe they could. Hmmm....I think I just challenged myself. Anyway, here's what been going on...
My Oblivion addiction has been (temporarily?) abandoned because Mitch wanted to play a co-op game with me, so we picked up another copy of Diablo II. Yeah. Old game, but kinda fun. Interesting how it seems to have it's own subculture complete with unwritten rules and their own language. My Sociology teacher would be fascinated.
My game last week was great. Most of my players bailed early, and I ended setting 34 lvl 1 barbarians and a 9th lvl skald against 3 PC's whose average party level was around 5. They nearly level 3 times. Whoops. So much for getting the party member levels even. It was kind of awesome and I actually didn't kill a single player after all that. Mitch and Bailey seemed impressed.
House last night was awesome! Us House/Wilson shippers are having a constant feeling of "no, this is the best episode ever!" Almost hacked up a lung and died after lol'ing for about 5 minutes after the Wilson on SPEEEEEEEEED moment. Watched it again this morning. Had the same reaction. That one is going down in fandom history. RSL needs an Emmy. NOW.
I want to make fanvids badly but don't have the software. I'm still not sure what I do need exactly.
I found some great new H/W vids to add to my favs on YouTube. I've tried scanning the other vids on there, and I'm utterly appalled and flabbergasted by the rampant drama and fakery . Why can't people post genuine vids about their feelings, and why can't other people be nice about it? I've thought about getting a webcam and jumping in, but I tend to clamb up on camera or sound like a dork (which I am) and the people on YouTube are so mean.
I'm growing stuff on my balcony. Initially I just wanted some chives. You know...for my potatoes. I also picked up some seeds for some giant purple and white zinnias. They are about an inch tall now. Chives are being as cooperative. I may have seeded them too deep :(
I'm reading Dark Tower IV and when I'm done I'm going to re-read the HP series. I'm a bad fangirl. I've only read them once. Someone started up a HP meetup in SD and are having a meeting to discuss the first 2 books at the end of the month. I better get cracking...this DT book is loooooooong.
My suspicions about my graduating class being very low on enthusiasm are more or less confirmed. No 5 year reunion is visible on the horizon. Wish I could have more to show for five years, but also was really hoping to see Dmitriy again. *tear*
Mitch and I are trying to catch up on Heroes. I related my feelings about this to my feeling about wanting to start watching Stargate and Smallville, both of which are huge (slash) fandoms I feel like I'm missing out on. Catching up to all that feels like homework.
