My first quilt topper is done!

I took an all day workshop this past Saturday for an Irish Chain quilt. I decided that I would do the double chain, since I liked it's appearance, and it looked (and was!) more challenging than the single chain...

I'm hoping to actually have it finished by the end of the week, but I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, as we've been having some sleepless nights with our (almost) 3 year old son... Lap sized quilt, though it looks almost large enough for a twin bed... :)

I also wanted to thank everyone who gave their input on what kind of batting to use. I ended up using what the quilt shop had, because I was having my fiance pick up my backing for me, and didn't want to have him go into store after store to pick up what I should have already had...

I am so incredibly proud of myself.
