Thanks! Now that I'm looking at the cover, it IS familiar, but I haven't read much about it yet. :)

I was lucky enough to read these two books in draft. Greg always intended them as two. I screamed when I reached the end of the first one and DEMANDED he send me the opening of the second. I don't know why he did them as two, just that it was intentional. Reading them back to back is best. I agree.

Lucky you! :) Glad to know it was intentional though. :) I wonder if he and his editor ever had any debate about merging them into one?

He never mentioned. But what do I care? I got acknowledged twice!

Your reviews interested me enough to hunt down and read both books ... my reviews of Shadowbridge and Lord Tophet are, well, there. ^_^ I loved the world of Shadowbridge, but the plot (especially in the second book) a bit less so; they were still engaging and enjoyable overall, and I'm glad to have read them. Thank you for your reviews.

You're welcome! And thanks for the link to your reviews. When I'm not on lunch break and have time to read them, I'll give them a gander. :)

So, even though Lord Tophet did not end on a cliffhanger, I had a strong urge to turn my Nook upside down and shake it for more story! I'm okay with picturing Leodora and Diverus getting their happily-ever-after, but all the hints sprinkled in about the functions of Epama Epam and Edgeworld and the conflicts between the gods made me crave another book set in the 'verse. Possibly many more.

Oh, yes you did read the second! Awesome!

I found that I liked the first book more than the second, but maybe that's me. Did you read these back-to-back? Do you feel like it read easily as one volume?
