Thank you for showing so clearly WHY you didn't like the book. That's the kind of review that is very helpful. I'm disappointed though, as I thought the premise sounded good. Heck, the premise did sound good, but the execution certainly seems lacking.

You're welcome. :)

I'm always afraid my perceptions are off when I really don't like something. After all, someone out there had to like it, or it wouldn't have gotten published. But hey, if you find a free or cheap copy, you could give it a whirl and see if it's to your tastes. :)

The other JUNO titles that I've read so far have been good, so I guess this one was a double-disappointment for me.

The Juno titles do seem to have interesting ideas, which fiction certainly needs. I'm in New Zealand and getting hold of them is difficult - and impossible at an affordable price - so I'm mostly reading blurbs and reviews and leaving it at that. I did go to the trouble of getting hold of Gail Dayton's The Eternal Rose as I wanted to read the end of the story, although I haven't had a chance to do so yet. Thanks also for your review of Unveiling the Sorceress, which does sound interesting. And the covers all tend to be so pretty, which is a plus for me.

I hear you on the covers. They attract me like moths to a flame!

Can you get eBook copies?

That's a thought. I haven't checked for ebook versions.
