Came by to see what was new, and I had to read your review about this book.

I read it summer 2004 and and I fell in love with the entire concept. It's a huge book that I gobbled up. I finished reading at work at my old job and I wanted to burst into tears in front of the customers, but I held it in and I had a huge knot in my chest the entire day. I even managed to convince my roomie to buy the book and read it and she loved it too.

I actually liked the ending. Yes, it was a little depressing, but Claire held on because she knew she was going to see Henry again. I guess I'm a sap.

I don't know about you, but I didn't really like Claire. And it take me awhile to get used to the POV and even warming up to Claire in particular. Although I did like their kid.

I just admire Audrey N. for her writing and research and all that work to make sure every detail clicked. I mean, just trying to keep track of Henry's ages and his time travels must have been exhaustng.

Awhile ago, I heard Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston (before the split) had bought the movie rights to the book. I wonder what ever happened to that...

I liked the very last scene. It's the big gap between that left me a little cold. :)

Alba was great. Clare...I didn't really have a problem with either her or Henry, except when Clare considered feelings for Gomez, and when Henry was younger and with other women. That was sort of awkward, cause we already knew how things would end up.

You're definitely right that keeping up with the time travel and ages would've been exhausting. I say she had many a chart to keep her straight. :)

God, I can only PRAY this book isn't made into a movie. I mean, they could probably do it, but it wouldn't be the same: part of the beauty of the book is reading the scenes from each of their POVs, you know?

Funny you mentioned a movie though, cause I was just thinking last night that there's no way they could make this into a movie... :)
