According to LibraryThing, I managed to read 12 books in December. Pretty sure it was more than that, but that's my own fault for forgetting to enter them...

"Code Name Verity" by Elizabeth Wein - 5 stars. LOVED IT. Such an awesome book.

"Cold Days" by Jim Butcher - 4.5 stars. I know you are not a Harry Dresden fan, but the books really do get better as Butcher kept maturing as a writer :)

"Steel's Edge" by Ilona Andrews - 4 stars. A good end to the series.

"Kingdom of Gods" by N.K. Jemisin - 4 stars. Great end to the Inheritance trilogy.

"Tempting the Bride" by Sherry Thomas - 4 stars. Concludes the Fitzhugh trilogy, and in my opinion is the best of the three. (Romance)

"Hex Appeal" edited by P.N. Elrod - 3.5 stars. I enjoyed Ilona Andrews' and Jim Butcher's short stories, but the others did not leave me interested enough to go and try full-length books by their authors.

"Wool" by Hugh Howey - 3 stars. An interesting (but very short - 56 pages) story with many twists. I am going to get the omnibus edition from the library, to find out how everything ends.

"A Kiss for Midwinter" by Courtney Milan - 3 stars. A nice read for the holidays.(Romance)

"When You Reach Me" by Rebecca Stead - 3 stars.

"Must Love Dogs" by Claire Cook - 2.5 stars. The (to me) very open ending kept this from being a 3 star book.

"Juliet Immortal" by Stacey Jay - 2.5 stars. Interesting premise, flawed execution.

"1st to Die" by James Patterson - DNF. Not my cup of tea.

Sounds like a busy month!

Yeah, I keep hearing that about Dresden, but I just can't bring myself to devote the time that I'll need to spend to actually watch him get better, if that makes sense. I won't skip books and I won't read out of order, so...

Who knows, maybe one day in the far future I'll give it a shot!
