Not reading the review *yet* but just wanted to pop in on here and say my copy arrived today. I'm super excited (and paid about half the cover cost). ;)

I pre-ordered this . . . WAY back when it was first announced. And I heard from . . . perhaps Scalzi himself? . . . that ordering a Subterranean title doesn't guarantee you getting the Subterranean title due to print runs and whatnot, so if you want to be SURE to get it, you should order directly from the source. :)

He was right. I had a similar experience with Kelley Armstrong's Angelic. I bought it directly from SubPress and got a copy, but at least 1000 people who ordered from sites like amazon did not.

Subterranean Press is wicked pricey, but every now and then it's nice to splurge :)

I've only splurged on Scalzi, Cherie Priest (always her!), and Joe Hill (not every time with him either).
