Fantastic! This is one of my most beloved books and will give me an excuse to read the anniversary edition that I got a while back but haven't read yet. (I usually read my well-loved ancient paperback.)

Oh, and the animated film is based on the novel! Not vice versa. ;-)

Nevermind, I can't find where I imply the movie came first:

Lots more votes this time around, and it's one of those titles that if you don't already own it, you shouldn't have any trouble finding it (or the animated movie from which it was based, but even if you watch that, read the book too, okay?). Looking forward to this one, because I adored the movie when I was a child, and I've been wanting to read the actual book for a while.

That doesn't read to me like I said the movie came first, but I have had a few drinks tonight, so...

Or was it another part of this post?

In "you shouldn't have any trouble finding it (or the animated movie from which it was based...", I read the second it as referring to the book, which makes the phrasing read as if the book is derived from the film. Hence my momentary confusion. :) It's no big, obviously!
