Book Bag

Collins, Suzanne: I have a rule when it comes to getting books. If I own a book by an author and I haven't read it, I'm not allowed to pick up ANOTHER book by said author. This is especially true if I've never read that author before. But despite my rule, despite the fact I haven't yet read The Hunger Games (yes, I know, I need to), I couldn't resist Catching Fire's shiny red cover or the fact that Borders had it on sale for 30% off. I couldn't. So I really, really hope I like The Hunger Games. :)

Hanover, M.L.N.: I told you I'd buy it twice. Did you not believe me? While I completely and totally resent a mass-market paperback series going to hardcover (like Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, etc) and therefore refuse to buy the hardcover, I will, however, rebuy a book in a cheaper format if that format has changed. This happened to Maria V. Snyder (her first two books were hardcover, and then there was a publisher change, so I re-bought them in trade), and the same is true for M.L.N. Hanover. It still pisses me off that Pocket is releasing the sequel straight to mass-market (especially since I'd already bought the trade), but you know what? I'll live. :)

Aguirre, Ann: If you've been watching this journal, you know I've already read and reviewed this book. And if you read that review, you know this was a surprise arrival in my mailbox from the wonderful and glorious janicu. And while I've said it a billion times already, it doesn't hurt to say it again: THANK YOU!!!!!

Bartlett, Allison Hoover: This is a Greg-book. He saw this in the store and was really intrigued by the whole book-thief bit, and he's more into nonfiction than I am. That said, if he reads it and really loves it, I may be convinced to check it out.
