my guess on the order of books is just that - only a guess. (i tend to always think of the "best", most forgivable reasons that people did things i don't like. i don't know if it's a character flaw or just a character trait...)
you are totally correct, though - i am (or was, before i was put on too many damned painkillers, because i have had 5 surgeries on my hip...) essentially eidetic. and it bugged me, how much i had to stop reading and go back thru all the previous books in my head to remember all the things that related. so i can image how annoying it is; like 100 times worse than the annoyance that i had (because i could probably quote all of the books, verbatim, at least when i'm not on meds)
and i am with you, hoping that this was just an ANOMOLY, and it will stop, and she will go back to be 100%PUREAWESOME.
your points about Arthur - i mean, it was a big deal, all through the book, about how he *was* crazy, specifically thinking he was *THAT* Arthur. i just don't think he was the *correct* kind of crazy to be able to kill the wife he loved with his own hands. there are tons of evil people who are, erm, squemish? i guess that's the best word - that's why there are hitmen, because so many people want to murder but can't make themselves do it... (not that most people *really* want to murder... i hope this is making sense; my meds are kicking in, which means i'll be able to walk soon, but i won't make any sense soon. sigh) i, too, wondered why Sunny hadn't been changed, and why no one (by which i mean Anna, since i thought she *would*) wondered why she hadn't been. especially when Sunny and Arthur both made points about how she looked like is mother (or older). i also don't understand how, when we have Sunny's POV, she herself never seems to consider that she could have been turned into a Werewolf... it's just odd.
i do appologize for info-dumping like that. i was reading your review, in the middle of it, when my boyfriend came in the room and started asking me pretty much everything you pointed out in the review - so i ended up writing it all up and posting it. (and made him read it - much easier than trying to explain to him verbally, because he is a visual learner, ya know?). actually, it was *also* probably because i *REALLY LIKE* the universe, and am kind of worried that the books will continue to be... sparse?... and so of course i have to try and justify everything that was not up to par in the book. i have a Reading Problem, which is like a Drinking Problem only with ink instead of alcohol :)
