Reviews: Why Are You Here?

If you follow this journal, have it friended, then I have a question for you. Now, I assume that since this journal is a book review journal that's mostly focused on the SF/F/H variety, that's why you're here. But I'm curious as to what reviews interest YOU the most, what genre made you friend this LJ to begin with. I'm not going to stop reading/

I'm... not voting because I'm not sure the last option really applies. I'm here for all and none of the above options.

One of the things keeping me here is the depth of your reviews. Another is just the introduction to books that sound highly interesting and that I'd otherwise never have heard of. That's both genre-specific and unspecific. I wound up here, initially, because of the overall fantasy/scifi focus, but none of that is the be-all and end-all of my reasons to visit.

Yes, I agree with your other commenter. I think your reviews are great introductions to books. I like the way you have them set up and find your unique rating system in particular very helpful.

(I did click on the genres I tend to get most excited about reading your reviews for though).

I read a lot of fantasy a couple of years back, but now it's different. Although I pick up a fantasy novel at random now and then, my reading focus has shifted. I'm a sucker for well-written reviews though, and that's how I ended up here (through some book community). I simply enjoy reading your reviews, both from the point of view of a review writer and a aspiring hibernating novel writer.
