Seel lit his fourth - no, fifth, Swift had forgotten the one he's sneaked in the bathroom - cigarette of the day. "Zombie camp?" he said, taking a hard toke.

"Yeah," Swift said sheepishly. "Zombie camp."

There was a little vein on the side of Seel's neck that throbbed when he was irritated. Swift could practically tell time by it - thirty seconds, forty-five seconds, a minute. "You leave for a year," Seel said, "leave me alone with your hostling and our son and Tyson - "

"Please don't say his name like that. He's my brother."

" - To do all your paperwork - " Seel said, voice rising - " - keep the Parasiel from self-destructing, keep the Gelaming off your backs - and you expect me to believe you when you tell me you were at zombie summer camp"I don't expect you to believe it, no, not right away," Swift said. ... besides, I'm not sure if it's entirely a compliment to say that they handle the fans well.
