Well, I haven't made a real post on here for some time so I figured now's as good a time as any...especially since I have some things to get off my chest. This post covers being gay, being biracial, yearning to be "normal."

( The following is pretty un-PC and there are a lot of complaints in here so if you're reading this, be prepared to think a little and be willing to help me out )

So many times I've felt out of place. All it took was time. You can ask any of my friends and they will tell you I have no since of style. I do not have the decorating gene. I cannot organized a good party if my life depended on it. I don't know all the current dance music. To be honest I depend on my friends to help me out with these area's. Hell, they insist on going with me to buy clothes so I don't end up with just ball caps and t-shirts. One thing I do have is pride. I may not offer all of these "typical gay traits", but I do offer a great many other things that my friends, gay and str8, love me for. The same goes for them. I have a few gay friends that can be overly obsessed with $100 jeans, but I appreciate them for it. I get a kick out of it. Then again I have str8 friends that would pay $1000 for a base ball card and a Dad that would buy a $2500 bottle of scotch. That cracks me up as well but it's what makes them happy. I have to say that I do love going out to bars with friends. I just go with the mindset of it's not up to ( ... )

Our da says we are 3/4th Irish because my mother is 1/2 Irish 1/2 Canadian. Im an Irish-Canadian mutt...lol

Thanks for the encouragement man. You have really made me feel like there are people out there who are gay and would understand me. I guess I do need to focus on all the other traits that I have going for me. As you're saying correctly, those are the traits the will attract people to me...and someday it will be a gay who I can be in a relationship with me. Mindset is definitely where it's all at. I need to correct mine...although, surprisingly, it's not bad when I go out to bars...only when I'm out in places where straight guys outnumber us and all I can think about is the fact that I can't have them because they're straight. Ugh. Anyway, yes, I need to keep a good heart and faith. "Awwyeah" definitely has good words:-)
