it seems like 2007 has gone by so fast, but i'm ready for '08.
yesterday, I GOT A NEW CAR!!
i gave my car to my grampa to fiddle with last week and it turns out a guy at his work offered him $2000 for it. Anyone who has ever ridden in my '97 corolla knows that, cosmetically, the car isn't worth $300. but it runs great, and is just getting broken in at 178,000 miles. :) so i went car shopping yesterday and got a really REALLY good deal on a new '06 corolla LE. It's cute and has EVERYTHING. yes, i am fascinated that my windshield wipers have an INTERMEDIATE setting. wtf is this setting!? it's wonderous! i can now have my wipers on mildly instead of wipping about even when it's just sprinkling.
moonroof, cruse control, power EVERYTHING. i have now into the 21st century or whatever century we're in. it's awesome.
Nick offered to buy my first tank of gas last night, and you can tell he doesn't pump up very often because he tried to put his credit card in the reciept slot. silly boy.
Murphy is closing in on 8 lbs and his 3rd and possibly final vet visit is next monday (seems like ever vet does the shots differently). then it's time to SNIP SNIP! he's the best pup. i love him. and yes, we did get him a winter coat because the poor guy kept shivering when we took him out to go potty.
xmas was nice, although i was sick for it. My mommy got me a new digicam because mine has taken a crap for some reason. Nick bought he a couple Rilo Kiley tee's and Mike and Danielle got me this shirt from bustedtees that says "Canada: America's hat" ha! i like it. xmas was very relaxed this year. which was nice.
Was suppose to go to Rancho Cordova tonight for New Years but it looks like we'll end up staying home. Mom and Dad want us to go to the lake, but eh i dunno about that. (oops, spoke to soon, sacramento here i come!)
Nick's dad is in the hospital again, but after seeing him yesterday he should be coming home in the next few days. i think it finally hit him that he will be losing his dad very shortly and he's been really upset, which is understandable. I'd be a wreck. we talk about it a lot because i think it's better to be prepared for something like this rather than be suprised.
The good thing coming out of this is that his little brother Alex is FINALLY going to try to quit smoking, and Nick is going to do everything he can to help him. It's tough, but when you see your own father on his deathbed from emphyzema i don't know how you can even pick up a cigarette.
Here's to hoping 2008 is as wonderful and even better than 2007. cheers!
