The solution to my problem

After talking my way through the Geek-Pretty girl situation at Rose, I've figured out that if I have to work for a relationship, it would help my own experiences and the relationship itself.

By developing a friendship with Jan first, I will have to work harder to start a relationship. This would also help me asses the situation and know what I would be getting into. The same would happen for him as well. That way, both of us would be able to weed eachother out if there are any major problems that can or cannot be worked through that could discourage a relationship. By working hard FOR a relationship with someone, the value of the relationship increases as well. I just think it would be an overall advantage and life lesson if I have to work for a relationship with Jan. I'm not saying that we're destined to be together or anything. I just really like him. And my course of action is to become as good of friends I can while Alan and I are on our 'Break.' When our relationship finally ends and I turn the page to the next chapter of my life, I will continue to be friends with him. Hopefully that friendship will continue to escalate. And when I can't stand it anymore, then I'll begin dropping hints like a mo fo. I really do like this guy and would really like to date this guy in the future.
