Studying Security makes it imperative for me to acquaint myself with Death. But it can get really disheartening to learn about genocides murders killings that have happened over the decades. It doesn't matter if you are the target or an innocent bystander, what matters is that there are psychos in this world arbitrarily deciding to take away someone else's life, and as long as they exist we will always live in fear. And then you become a statistic, sometimes mentioned in passing, never remembered for the life you lived. It's disgusting. It makes me lose faith in humanity.
