Life Update

Greetings! I realize the last time I wrote, we were on our way to Maui. That was a fabulous trip, although much too short and way too rushed. We visited Oahu, and did a whirlwind tour of the island. We went to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and visited a battleship, the Dole Plantation (disappointing), visited a beach on the North Shore, went to the Honolulu swap meet, saw a magic show/luau, and perused the International Market in Waikiki. We probably did more, but it's hard to remember.

Sam at Pearl Harbor

After two short days on Oahu, we met my family in Napili, Maui. There were 15 of us. Craziness. We snorkled, shopped, layed out, rode bikes down Haleakala (I fell), went on a snorkling trip to Molokini, went to a timeshare presentation...Scott went on a trip to Hana which took all day. We had a fun time, although there were some stressful moments. Sam did great on the plane rides, and was a joy to bring on our trip.

Family in Maui

After our vacation, Scott had a feeling that I needed to take a pregnancy test. So I did. And it was positive. Very positive. I couldn't believe that I was pregnant so soon having having Sam. The hardest part was keeping the pregnancy a secret from my family. I went to the doctor right before Christmas and got to see our little bean. The doctor said everything looked great, so we announced out great news to the family. It seems that everyone is excited for us. I'm getting excited for feeling better soon.

Our Baby Bean, 12 weeks

Scott's last night of college was February 1. He's done with college! I'm so proud of him! Now he's starting to study for the last two tests to become Microsoft certified. Scott is also taking a new job at Cedars as a programmer. This means a new title, a new department, a new pay scale, new people. I'm happy for him and we look forward to the new challenges this job will bring.

Sam is 7 months old, and he's becoming such an independent little boy. He loves to feed himself. I think he'd sit and feed himself all day. His current favorites are Gerber puffs and wagon wheels, Cheerios, biter biscuits, and rice cakes. He also likes applesauce and pears :) It's exciting to see him try to crawl, even though he gets frustrated. Sam enjoys pulling his toys out of their basket, playing with Dad, visiting family, and sitting in the grocery cart.

Well, I think that's about all for now--I'm gonna work on updating more often. Thanks for reading!

Allison
