Since I told
egomania I thought her 30-day meme dealio sounded like fun and a great way to kill a little time, here is my overly-long response for Day 1 :)
Well, I'm Ashley Nicole, age 20, Sagittarius. I was born & raised in a podunk little town near Yosemite Nat'l Park in California. Currently, I am attending (and commuting to) two junior colleges - Columbia College and Modesto JC - and I will be starting my third year at the end of the month. I am working on double A.S. degrees at MJC (Ag Education and Animal Science), while working on all my general ed crap classes at Columbia. Animals are a very important facet of my life, and through 4H and FFA I have raised & shown rabbits, chickens, geese, sheep and steers. There have also been a few guinea pigs, goats, and pheasants that we didn't show, along with the obligatory cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, fish, and gerbil. You know, the normal pets :) Although I've always loved horses I've never had one, but I hope to get one or two after college.
When I'm not commuting, outside working with animals, or doing stuff for classes, I like to hang out with family or friends. Being with family is especially important because my mom drives long-haul truck and my dad works late hours, so to have time when all of us are together is rare. One of my favorite things to do on a lazy weekend is kick back and watch crime shows or a good movie with the fam. I can be really creative when the mood strikes - I used to dream of being an illustrator for childrens' books - and I love to scrapbook or doodle. Surfing, visiting Australia, and learning to ballroom dance are a few of the things I would like to do before I turn 30, and I hope to restore my '66 Ford Mustang sometime in the next two years.
Like most, I have my obsessions, which currently include figure skating and CSI fandoms, country music, and cowboys :D I'm not hard to please :D
So I guess to sum it all up, I'm a country Cali girl who can't live without a few animals, loves my family, and has dreams & ambitions just like everyone else. :) Anything else you want to know, dear flist?
