I love fall in a college town :)
Sorry guys, I've been pretty lax in posting the last few weeks, though I blame the lack of Glee.Everbody and their cat seems to be posting their weekly reviews of the new eps of H5-0 so I didn't see the need to do my own, especially seeing as I comment on a bunch of other peoples posts anyway. But Steve and Danny are still totally married (mouthguard, anyone??), Kono is still badass, many of us still don't like Five-0 Barbie, and Chin is still possibly the only mature adult on the team. :D
As a random aside to my fellow Gleeks -- we've all realize that, mohawk or no, Puck still looks older than 17, or whatever age they're claiming he is, since TPTB can't decide, yes? Anyway, just saw a pic of my cousin from his game last Friday (incidentally, his colors are red & white and he's #20. Too weird.) I didn't grow up with him or his sister, though I've seen them a lot recently, since I moved to the same town for university. Kid's a junior in high school, but I wouldn't look twice if he was suddenly sitting in my gen ed class. And he's not one of those guys that like, had a beard at 14 or anything either. //Not sure what the point of this ramble was, other than that maybe I'll try to give RM a little more leeway on the age thing from now on. Maybe.
And while I'm on a roll with the oversharing tonight, how 'bout pics of the costume me and my momma dearest threw together when I went home last weekend? Chico's one hell of a party place during this weekend especially, and while I'm looking to going out and cutting loose a bit, I do still have class, tyvm. Seriously, some of these girls go out in lingerie and heels and call it a costume. Pfft.
Despite the fact that I hate pink (with a passion, you don't even know), I somehow wound up as a flamingo. I don't even know. Mom's awesome enough that we didn't even use a pattern for the skirt, the top started out as a plain ivory corset, and I put some of my crafty skills to work to make the earrings. What do you think?
Halter top, complete with feathers. There's pink fabric under the back laces as well as the front closure.

Earrings! I still need to make an anklet and possibly hair clip...
