Holiday errands complete!
Welp, finally got this year's Xmas cards and gifts sent, many of them probably won't be to their destinations by Christmas day...but I'm never on time with these things so eh. I figure that as long as what I'm sending gets there around Xmas it counts. I can never quite bring myself to be anxious about the whole Christmas deadline thing. I was in line at the post office Saturday and the woman in line behind me was fretting endlessly to her friend about shopping and mailing packages and making herself nearly sick with anxiety over the whole thing. Well I've had the misfortune to be actually sick with anxiety this year, over something a lot more serious than mailing gifts by a certain day. The whole Christmas thing just seems to me like a silly thing to be anxious about, I guess.
Wow that started to get a little dark, apologies ^^;; Anyway! My other errand today was shipping my koto to Boston for repair, in the end we were unable to get my broken string restrung properly, so my poor instrument is now on its way. UPS had better treat it right! I put plenty of insurance on it in case they don't, and packed it as well as I could. 'tis out of my hands now. Safe journey, koto!!
In general this has been a very eventful, but not always pleasant year, and I'm rather eager for it to be over with. 2009's a new slate, it'll be interesting to see what happens with it. Cheers everyone!
