Paradigm Shift Part 2

I finally told my oldest friend about Poly. She took it ... well I suppose. She definitely doesn't understand it, but accepts me no matter what. I'd like to say that someday she'll understand, but I know that my lifestyle is still difficult for most folks. It's just a relief (although I didn't really have a doubt) to have not lost another friend because of my honesty. It also feels wonderful to not have to seperate friends out and only invite "the ones that know" or "the ones that don't know". That was causing a lot of sorrow in my life.

I'm debating getting a dual Masters and opening up a Poly Counseling Clinic. We'll see if that is a crazy idea that ends up fitting in to my life. I would really enjoy it and I do think there is a need for Psychologists who understand alternative families. Non-monogamy is not something that is standard training. In January I transfer to CSUS as a Senior and begin the "hard core" work for my BS in Psychology, BS in Human Sexuality and Minor in Spanish. In that I will be getting the Behavioral Analysis and Testing Certificate. Then on to the Pupil Personnel Services Credential, School Psychology Endorsement and my MFCC. It's going to be one hell of a fun time at school!!
