Yuletide Reveal

First off, a lovely little Yuletide Madness ficlet was written for me: Adventure! It's Enchanted Forest Chronicles, and Morwen and Telemain and domestic "adventure" and it features the absolutely perfect line "The trouble with having married someone so reasonable is that it is incredibly difficult to argue with her," which, just... yes.

And now it's time for me to point out the fics that I wrote for Yuletide.

My assignment was Greek and Roman Mythology, which I was a bit daunted by at first. And then I got the idea of exploring the story of Maia (my namesake), which was a sort of half-formed idea I'd had floating around my head for quite a while, and I really like how it turned out.

Five Times Maia's Life Was Permanently Changed
Characters: Maia, Zeus, Hermes, Artemis, Apollo
Rating: Teen and Up
For savvierthanu
This was never what you imagined for yourself. You were never supposed to stand out. But life changes, whether you will it or no. You will endure.

And then I wrote three Pern ficlets for Yuletide Madness. (And there were a bunch more prompts that I wanted to write, so I'll probably be writing some NYRs too.)

Adjustment
Pairing: F'lar/Lessa
Rating: General Audiences
For greenbirds
They are still working out what is it they are now, how they relate to each other, and it's not always smooth. In which Lessa is irritable and F'lar is amused.

Flight
Pairing: Queen/Bronze, Queenrider/Bronzerider (although I was definitely thinking of it as one of Ramoth's Flights when I wrote it)
Rating: Mature
For grav_ity
She launched herself in one swift movement, a sudden golden streak into the sky.

Anticipation
Character: OFC (who has more personality and backstory in my mind than I ever needed to know, so I may end up writing more of her)
Rating: General Audiences
For grav_ity
The heat of the sands is nearly scorching her feet through her thin sandals, but she stands confident and surefooted all the same.

And hopefully one of these days I'll actually get around to doing a rec post.
