I am soooo tired.
Kanye West on Thursday was really good. He played my 3 favourite songs which was great and actually did pretty much everything off both albums. I got to meet DAN, RICH, SPUD and KAT for the first time and they were all lovely. I also stayed at Ciaran's house because he is a massive fit. We played multi-player Mario Kart on the bus the next morning while some crazy woman shouted down the phone at some man (presumably). It took me stupid amounts of time to get to Manchester and back but it was completely worth it.
Today I went to Leeds Met with my parents for a Social Sciences Open Day. It took about 2 hours to get there but it was a really nice place I thought. The people seemed very genuine and I felt that was important for this kind of a decision. We had a couple of hours between talks for a chance to look around the city centre and I thought it was fantastic. So much difference compared with Leicester, everything is much bigger, better, and it just feels like I could settle there. I took a photo of a building which Dan later told me was the town hall.
I like the blue sky in it. We went back later to see the Politics course leader and he came across as a nice guy. The course looks very interesting and offers exchanges in the second year to spend a semester at a different university in a variety of countries including Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Ireland and Spain. I think that would be something I'd find interesting.
Another 5 hours of travelling to get there and back but again, it was worth it. I'm going to check out Manchester Metropolitan next month but unless I find it really, really fantastic (which could happen), I'll be getting back to Leeds and accepting the offer they gave me.
Things are generally quite good at the moment. I'm tired, but happy.
