I am totally considering getting
THIS for my new place. I also really want Han-Solo-in-Carbonite ice trays, too. 8D
As you can see, I have internet! Horraaaay!
Everything with the move went well, and I am so very glad I had my two boy-type friends to help me because I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE UP TWO BOXES AT A TIME, AND THEY TOTALLY ARE. My neighbours next door and across the hall are the only two I've talked to yet, but they both seem very nice people. I was under the impression that my apartment was haunted (don't even ask, I just get scared when I don't know what a sound is) and after Sam talked me down from the heights of scared-and-crazy, we've concluded it's the pipes.
BUT THE SOUND IS AN UNGODLY GURGLESLUDGE SOUND. I thought it was my sink, but when I heard it standing in the kitchen doing dishes, it came from behind me, so...refrigerator? D:
I cleaned out the cupboards and everything in the kitchen, and everything's set away (apparently, I don't own plates?) so now I'm starting to feel better settled in. I've used the stove a few times, and I finally got a shower curtain put up, so I'm really starting to feel like this is all my own.
Only problem - my bed is at The Brick, apparently, and I need to go pick it up and bring it home. It was one of the going away presents from my parents, and I've been temporarily sleeping on the couch. Lucky for me, the couch is amazing to sleep on.
I also don't have lamps for the living room, yet. WORKING ON IT.
In other news, I stopped to pick up perogies from an Ukranian-owned resturant and I've cooked them in butter and holy god are they delicious.
THERE WILL BE PICTURES WHEN THE PLACE LOOKS LESS LIKE A STACK OF BOXES.
Meanwhile - how is everyone!
