art: improvement/retrospective meme 2007-2009
So, back in March 2007, I decided that I'd buck up and join the fandom instead of being a lurker. It seems so long ago, now... There's a lot I owe fandom, I think - when I first started drawing, I wasn't that comfortable with what I was doing, and I didn't know exactly how to make a composition, and various other things, but I threw myself into it, joined fests/exchanges, and gradually became more comfortable with taking an idea and making art from it.
I'm not saying I'm brilliance with it, and that my art can do no wrong, far from it. I know where I can improve. But now I have the confidence to do so, and I know that there are places I can go to for help, and people I can trust to tell me dude, that's not right - what's up with his shoulder.
So, um. *hugs fandom*
On that note, I did the Improvement/Retrospective Meme thing. Mine's only 2007-2009, but even with that short space of time, you can start to see the changes, I think. ♥
