No, that was awesome! You actually wrote all about the parts I was wondering about.

I totally agree that talking about Russia would be the way to wear Pavel down, especially a Pavel like one who's so closed off.

I love that even though Hikaru's not driving, he's totally a backseat (or frontseat) driver. He is the pilot after all, Pavel can just hold the map. XD And I didn't feel like their segue into talking about their families was awkward in anyway. I liked the 'Russian men had first sons & second daughters' because it sounded so like something an old-fashioned Russian guy would say.

SO SAD. Poor young Pavel, I always forget how little he is. I like that you're writing him as still affectionate though. It's a problem I have with SPN fic (not that I read much of it anymore) that people either want to forget hunters had/have families or they want them to be big sloppy messes of OMG EMOTION. lol. I really like the contrast with McCoy too.

Huh. Now that you say it, I don't know if I can see them being all buddy-buddy. Hmm I guess it's something I'll have to leave to your expertise and wait for more chapters to see how I feel about it. :)
