Wikipedia is a dangerous place, as we all know. I can never remember how to spell Chekov's middle name, so I always google it, and then I inevitably click on his wiki entry to see if there's new information or something I'm forgetting...

And what have I learned today? That the Maquis that were integrated into the Voyager crew were inelligable to wear Starfleet rank insignia, so they wear provisional rank markings instead. I only remember the pips! So I looked up the photos.... AND HOLY CRAP, IT'S TRUE. THE MAQUIS WEAR BARS AND THE ENLISTED STARFLEET CREW WEAR PIPS. I never noticed and I was so freaking into Voyager.
