Hello ladies and gents! A wee entry here from mmorpgsforlife's home~! I wasn't intending on making any entries or anything whilst away, but we went and saw Star Trek and I'm afraid I need to SQUEE discuss some more. XD
1.
I was pleased with all the characters, really. There wasn't really anyone that I couldn't see in the character, and some of them fit extremely well. ♥ I wish there could have been more Sulu, and that Uhura had her curves back, but that's neither here nor there. I'm not a huge fan of Kirk, but I totally liked him in the movie. It makes me wonder why... I don't know. Maybe it's just Shatner. GASP. Actually, it could be that he wasn't such a womanizer in this movie. And he only lost his shirt once. ...you know, I think Spock got more action in this movie than he did. AHAH. ...I'll move on, now.

CHRIST, CHEKOV. That boy is freaking jailbait in this movie. Too effin cute I WANT ONE and bright eyed and innocent. Waugh. I felt so bad when he was trying to give the password. It was like watching a puppy get up a staircase for the first time. Omg, someone stop me now. Too shiny. Too shiny! Let's move on!

Spock. Wow, I love snarky!spock. He always looks so annoyed or amused. XD And I really like the whole w/Uhura thing - not so much for the fact that it's Uhura, I think, but it's the acting. Soft and serious. Wow. This movie is too sexy for me. I can't believe it's Star Trek. I don't know. I also think that there needs to be more fight scenes for Spock. Shit, he's fierce. ♥

The fight scenes and the battles were neat, and I loved how everyone came together on the ship - I particularly like Bones, but I don't remember him being that crazy? Must be a new-cast thing, or it just toned down as he got older. Something. I don't know. I love the whole scene with the injections and getting Kirk on board. I love how their friendship was shown in the movie, though he didn't get so much screen time.

Costumes! I like the uniforms. Very casual. They look so good on everyone~ Hmm.

Scotty ♥ Ah, perfect. Well done, Simon. I wasn't sure if it was him, at first, but it definetely worked out.

The only thing that made me WTF was Winona Ryder as Spock's mum. EFF, WHAT. It didn't work for me for the longest time. Maybe more so at the end, but. Gargh. Really? Gargh. I don't know. THAT REMINDS ME, OH SPOCK. REACHING FOR MUM. D: ...anyway.
Well, I'm off to bed. Getting up at EARLY o'clock to go to the Met tomorrow. :3 Cheers!
