Parental Matters

So, my father somehow managed to develop sepsis in his knee. He's going under the knife today to void the infection, and then he'll be on IV antibiotics for a little while.

A little background: Dad was a kick-boxer in the '70s and '80s. He tore his ACL during a match when I was about a year old, and has had knee trouble ever since. I'm actually surprised that it's taken until now for him to be forced into surgery.

Dad's a hardy creature and has a great attitude, so I'm sure he'll be fine. But still...sepsis is pretty dangerous.

Dad on the Tube the last time he visited me in London.

I've always been a daddy's-girl.

I'll post again once I hear news.

health, family
