JENA 6

Jena 6, I'm sure everyone knows about this already b/c its been all over the news so I'm not gonna go too deep into it. Here is my issue with it...

As I understand it, some white kids were being racist. Like hanging a noose in a tree or something, and some black kids got mad and beat them up. Forgive me if that seems too simplistic, i know there is much more to the story. Anyways, the black kids got tried as adults and were charged w/ attempted murder b/c they used a shoe in the fight, and were sentenced to life in prison or something ridiculous like that and the white kids got off scott-free. Now all the "civil rights" activists want to "FREE THE JENA 6".

Here is how I see it, the white kids were wrong and should get in trouble. they should get the sentence that corresponds to the laws they broke. And also, the black kids should be in trouble too. I mean, they did fight, and not exactly in a self-defense type of way. Don't get me wrong, I think the punishment for the black kids is way too severe, but they shouldn't have all charges dropped. maybe tried as minors, and not for attempted murder, but they should still be punished. Everyone in this was in the wrong in my opinion.

As for those "civil rights" activists- They keep saying stuff about how MLK, Jr. wanted peace and equality and how black ppl need to band together to acheive that. MLK JR WAS NOT ABOUT BEATING PPL UP TO END RACISM!!! just because someone pissed you off doesn't mean you can beat the half to death and say, oh well he hurt my feelings.

Instead of trying to "free the Jena 6", why don't we ask for fair charges against the kids, and fair sentences?!? the black ones AND the white ones. If these kids get off, then everyone will claim that there was racism involved so they shouldn't be held responsible for their actions.

You can say that I'm being racist, but i'm not. I think both parties involved should be in trouble. If you want my honest opinion, black people have become more racist that most white people. they seem to feel like everything has some sort of racial undertone.

let me put it this way to clarify: If a black kid was taunting a white kid with racial slurs, and the white kid retaliated with violence, then the white kid should be in more trouble than the black kid, but both should be in trouble.

If you are angered by what i said, don't hesitate to tell me. Also, if you have something to add let me know. If there is something i'm missing out on, like details that would change my views, let me know.

I guess thats all i got
