worthless female characters in movies
Is it possible to watch a movie with a "heroine" as the main character and not be completely disgusted with her 20 minutes into the movie? It's like as soon as a woman plays the hero, the movie gets mired down in cliche. Oh look, she's outrunning the bad guy, obviously a good time for her to trip. Now that she's tripped she can spend 5 or 10 seconds looking behind her watching Mr Badguy catching up. And the crying. The. Nonstop. Crying.
Oh how about another recent movie where she does everything possible to convince everyone she's crazy. Once the plot kicked off and Jodie Foster's looking for her little girl it stopped being about finding her girl, and rapidly turns into "Gee, nobody's tackled the crazy lady yet, how can we make her MORE crazy?"
Then for a "plot twist" both women suddenly get control of themselves 5 minutes from the end and save the day
There's far more "weak" male characters in movies and television than there are level-headed women.
