annaclaire, but such a troubling development deserves a post of its own.
Member of Save Our South Dakota Summers want to return what they call a more traditional school year. Under the plan, summer vacation for students would end after Memorial Day and start no sooner than Labor Day.
Apparently, that means ending school in May and starting up again in September.
The Traditional Way for summers is, I believe, working your ass off whacking the hell out of wheat with a wheat wacker from the rooster screams until sunset, and other such activities. The wheat wacker industry will love this development. There will be a new retro-trend in fashion, too:
And then the Amish will be all sarcastic and told-you-all-along-y and you'll have to punch them for being obnoxious.
