Sob-fest
*snifflesniffle* Eru. Kannaduki no Miko is, like, the saddest anime I think I've ever watched. Plus, I was impressed that the writers managed to fit fantasy, mysticism, mechs, and romance all into one anime. Heh. And I felt bad for Oogami at the end. Poor guy worked his arse off protecting Himeko and sacrificed himself, and how does she repay him? Rejection! (Not that either of them remembered any of that of course...) So, yeah, was a good show, and a pretty quick watch, since it was just 12 episodes. I can see why one of the reviews I read was ragging on Himeko, though. She did get a little tiresome after a while; Oogami (and perhaps even Chikane, too) was a so much more interesting character. Poor Oogami (in the same way I might say poor Chiaki or poor Aya... or maybe more like poor Omi... anyway...). The mechs made me want to watch some random Gundam series or something, too.
Also finished watching Weiß today. What a creepy ending. I think I liked the end of the first arc better; it came to more of a conclusion. This arc set Weiß up for a sequel, though the only real sequel is Glühen, and isn't quite like the regular Weiß. Though, I did like how they ended up actually using someone from earlier episodes to tie up the series. Yay for Sakura, for saving Aya-chan! Boo that Aya decides to like her. ;P Heheh. Also felt bad for Yohji... had to kill Neu. That was fun. Yeah, don't ever get Yohji really ticked off by taking advantage of him. Heh. I still think that Aya is the angstiest of the Weiß boys, though. He has so many issues. But, then, that makes him all the more interesting. Speaking of Glühen, I'd like to watch some more, but I can't tonight... Gotta get up sometime before noon tomorrow, heh.
In other news, had my first day of Spring class today. It was pretty interesting, I thought. I'll have to do my homework tomorrow. I also took care of filling out OSU paperwork and pestering more people at Northern about my language assessment thingy... Speaking of NMU, I need to mail in some transcript requests. Yay. Other than that, nothing much has been happening. The trip back home was uneventful, although I thought my legs were going to fall off from being cooped up in the back seat of a not-so-totally-roomy-in-the-back SUV for 9 hours. Ouch.
Anyway, should probably sleep now...
