Really? You see, I would like to get a harness made so that I can carry passengers, and this will require a large number of buckles.

That sounds like it could be a fun project. I've never made a dragon harness before.

I used to have a Harness Master to oversee things, but what I am interested in is much simpler than the harness I had for fighting. I only want to be able to carry a few individuals without them falling off.

Well, I've done some armor before, and chain mail, so this shouldn't be too difficult. People didn't use harnesses for flying beasts at home, but I think that I can probably rig something up if I can get your measurements.

Pleased to meet you, Master Presea, I am Temeraire, which I suppose you would know form the essay. I can meet you or your assistants to have my measurements taken whenever it is convenient.

Just Presea is fine, really. And it's only me. But I could come by tomorrow and get some numbers, if that's okay with you?

Yes, that will be fine. We could meet on the beach near the lighthouse. We will have to consult over price as well--I have acquired some capital, but expense is still a concern.

I like to work on the beach, so that's perfect for me!

As for price: I ask the buyer to provide their own materials, and then I just charge for labor. We can negotiate that exactly when I see exactly how large this harness needs to be.

All right. Of course I will need to find an agent to purchase materials on my behalf, but that should be no trouble.

[ooc: My assumption here is that Temeraire will manage to pay for/barter for materials and can pay for labor, and while he is about 100ft long he really just needs a bunch of large straps for people to secure themselves to...a month might be a reasonable timeframe for the whole process?]

[OOC: Temeraire is actually in luck because she's a magical blacksmith and can probably do everything in like, two weeks. But if you'd like a month that's cool with me too. :3 ]

Oh man, Temeraire will have so many questions about magical blacksmithing! He is a very unmagical dragon. And I will assume two weeks or so, basically I just want it done before the end of July when I get back from an upcoming hiatus :)

She'd be happy to explain! And also amused that dragons are nonmagical where he comes from, because that's certainly not the case in her homeland. But yeah, that's fine with me, and thanks for the opportunity. ♥
