Firstly, the UK economic recovery is not as clearcut as the media tell you:

This is because the corporations are taking more of the profit and paying their workforce less. Why people don't notice or care about this is not clear, but certainly the media plays its part in the propaganda wars.

If the market worshippers point about performance related pay etc. actually had any truth in it there would be a closer correlation.
