Whilst the condem government is stabbing the police in the back
I was watching the TV show "coppers". Apparently half of Kent police 999's are for domestics!
That's quite a lot. Maybe the tories are right in condemning bad families? Or possibly there are a lot of people who just aren't very good at dealing with relationship problems, yet are somehow married or shacked up together, and these aren't the usual target of right wing hand wringing moralism as a cover for cutting welfare.
So how to improve people's relationship skills? Maybe if you could do that, you could cut police numbers and budgets.
One of the incidents showed a nice bit of work by a WPC - she was keeping someone out the way, who then pushed her back, grabbed on and seemingly tried to start a fight. Whereupon the WPC threw her in a good standing judo throw, tried to grab her and ended up pinning her with her body. Good job by the WPC.
