So there's a big auction of Doctor Who costumes and props at Bonham's and all I can think is "If I skip one con this year, I could totally get Flavia's robes!"
Okay, I've not actually lost all sense. I'm not going to. I'm not silly. I'm just very lucky there's no ancient tat from the sixties or my credit card really could be in trouble. There're loads of costumes from the new series (which aren't terribly interesting really, cause they're mostly just clothes outta shops, clothes that have been on the telly, yes, but clothes nonetheless - though Martha's purple shoes! And Jackson Lake's costume's pretty nifty, but describing a blue shirt what Tennant's worn as 'iconic'? Um. Is there another meaning to that word I don't know?)
But there's some GLORIOUS stuff from the seventies and eighties: the Kandyman!, Ace's jacket! The Rani's time brain! A highly realistic snake! NIIIIIMONN!! KROLL!
Mostly, I really really want to know who'd be willing to pay a couple of hundred quid for a plasmaton. (Why, yes, paying hundreds of pounds for a dodgy model dinosaur offa the telly, I understand completely, but I draw the line at lumpy grey lumps.)
