I feel I'm being generous when I say Torchwood is rubbish. Utter rubbish. Entertaining rubbish, but rubbish nonetheless ( Read more... )

And Jack's talking to the PM (who shouldn't know about Torchwood) because he's actually just crazily shouting at the dialtone.

Mwah! Oh my, it's true. One day they will be playing basketball and Jack will be on the phone shouting and someone will hit the speaker phone with their elbow and it will be the talking clock.

He'd stride it, and raise an eyebrow. Then he'd have the whole lot of them shipped out and get some people in who'd gone through a psych examination first.

I am now absolutely desperate to watch that episode and/or read that fic.

What kills me is that Jack, whose conman background should have made him excellent at reading people and hyper-aware of his surroundings, is so bloody oblivious to what is going on in his Hub and with his people. That he's not a classic leader is obvious; that he's not a meglomaniac like Yvonne is a relief. That he's no longer quite human is interesting.

That he's apparently turned stupid is frustrating as all get out.

I'm going to be interested in reading the tie-in novels to see if they explain anything that's going on inside people's heads when they're actually thinking as opposed to emoting at Tosh. Or possibly that's my mistake... thinking they're thinking.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

There is no excuse for his being this stupid. He would have been dead by now.

He would have been dead by now.

Er. Perhaps this is how he found out about that little problem?

Ha ha, they are so crap they should never be employed by anyone! Ever!

If you're a traitor at TW, and you don't shoot yourself, you get to stay on.

I hope no one tells Suzie that when they wake her up. Ooh, I'd be so pissed off, wouldn't you?

I think waking her up will allow her to see death as The More Fun Option.

I've always thought Torchwood needed the Brig. Things would work so much better that way

I have this dream. A dream about the Brig telling them their mission via speakerphone in manner of Charlie's Angels.

But then which tv show wouldn't be better with more Brig? ;-)

Especially if he brought his explosives.
