Waaah. It is Nine/Ten slash, but it is still bleakly depressing. I call that an achievement.

In all seriousness, it is lovely, beautifully written, as everything you write usually is. I particularly like the references to the future Doctors, and the leather jacket like an "old skin".

Just one thing: Daleks has failed to materialise should be "had", yes?

Aha! A typo indeed, yes, thank you!

Thank you kindly. It was terribly good fun to write, though it is quite easy to spot the point where my fingers froze up resulting in a shocking absence of actual sex.

I like the conversation bits - absolutely spot on Tennat dialogue going on there - but what's with all the Doctor snogging?

but what's with all the Doctor snogging?

Reason 1) Because it's *hot*

Reason 2) Have you ever seen anyone more in need of a hug and a kiss than 9? I think it's the Doctor's innate compassion was kicking in, and I think he felt a bit bad that he's not having to carry that burden anymore, but 9's stuck with it.

Reason 3) Just 10 saying he'd take care of Rose wasn't enough... he had to uhmm, punctuate it so to speak.

Just speculating here, but I can't help but wonder if, maybe as a direct result of Rose, the Doctors wonder what that thing snogging is all about. 10 just took it into his hands to satisfy both their curiosity.

Loved the story, btw, in parts sad and hopeful. Love all the reading between the lines :)

Thank you kindly!

And, reasons! Good reasons! It wasn't (1) at all, no. It was a sensible well-thought out reason that was the only natural continuation of events. Yes.

Good conversation is like fine wine. Probably.

Reasons in story: Nine really, really doesn't want to go back to quasi-hell. Sex seems more fun. Ten is keen on being remembered and different and not like all his previous selves and, omg, so many of them now! How will they remember me! I know, I'll kiss myself. Haha!

Or, y'know that thing where lots of men like two girls together...?

Oh, joy. Doctor/Doctor slash is always a good thing: Nine/Ten slash where Nine is being the wounded hero and Ten is ripping the piss out of him for it is even better.

Love your Ten. I wonder if I can do sums.

now, now, it's not the number of digits. It's how you use them.
