So, when is enough...too much? Last week, after contacting my current advisor about switching to the Meteorology program, she "advised" me to contact the Chair of the Department (a former professor). Likewise, she sent him the same email she sent me. I immediately wrote him an email, explaining my situation and what I want to accomplish. Well, I hear nothing. So, I emailed him the following day from a different email account, because we are having problems with the school’s email. Next day, still nothing. So, I called and left a voice mail at his office on Friday morning. Now, it is Monday, the first day of Spring Break, and I have not heard anything. Today, I wrote him just a short email asking if he had received the previous emails (concerned bc of the trouble with the school email).
Now, I am not one who likes to be obnoxious and annoying when I am trying to get something I want. But, I feel I have to be a little assertive here. I have to have classes scheduled by next Monday, which by now will probably require a write-in. I feel like I am living in a box, where any contact with the outside world goes completely unnoticed depite my repeated attempts to gain someone’s attention. Is there anybody out there? CAN YOU HEAR ME? REPLY DAMNIT! I’M TIRED OF WAITING.
