I think I might need one for aiding me with the wonderful tool of grammar. Any ideas how to go about aquriing one on lj?

If you don't know anyone who beta's, whose style you like and you would just ask, there are communities out there where you can look for one.
I just know one for supernatural spn_betas but I expect other fandoms have them too. You can specify what kind of help you need, what genre etc you wriite for and a fitting beta will answer

Thank you so much. The new chapter will be up soon, but it needs a beta quite badly and I'm feeling far to 'wheeeeeee' to proofread. My bad. Thanks for the link.

Depends on what you want one for. If it's for a specific fandom often if you make a post on an LJ community for that fandom you can get a good response. There are beta communities on LJ too.

That's generally how you pass English. :P

LOL!!! I meant I read and turned in book reports to improve my flunking grades from the grammar part. I guess this whole point of why I can not do the beta deed. GRINS!!!

hi *grins shyly* i love your story and follow it quite diligently... i'm a terrible lurker though and don't always leave comments, sorry!

but i'd love to beta for you if you like (it's totally fine if you'd rather have someone with actual experience beta-ing) i can't really offer any constructive feedback character- and plot-wise (esp. with SGA stuff, i've never watched the show) but i can spellcheck and nitpick at the grammar (only the really obvious bits though, i don't pretend to have an english degree and i'd be the first to tell you that i don't always notice when authors switch verb tenses mid-story)

anyways, PM me if you're interested, i can give you my email address ^^
